(Click photo to enlarge)The Mercedes Fashion Week was interesting in that most of the designers all had a similar look-not all of them, but most. So instead of commenting on each individual collection I chose an outfit/dress from each collection and put it into an overall look . It was much easier to see the entire Fall 2010 direction that way . Today I have put together in my opinion the "Avatar" collection from the various designers. As I said earlier there was a definite influence from sci-fi and film at MBFW. Even with the sci-fi influence the Greek draping is apparent here. Obviously the color blue is predominate in this group -a soothing color. For the most part I think these dresses were "over-designed". Simplicity is a better direction when using busy prints and saturated color. The green dress allowed the sequin beading pattern to be the statement not ruffles and draping.
