A Soldier Will Fight Long And Hard for A Bit Of Colored Ribbon-Napolean

With the ongoing military presence in the Middle East, the 2009 runway brought us military jackets …again. This time with a regency flair circa 1799-1815, the Napoleonic era. I've included one street interpretation of the style worn with shorts. The khaki colored jacket is military fall 2010 -but it clearly had a Regency-Vietnam look, so I included it here. John Galliano’s Spring RTW ’09 runway show proved to be an amazing interpretation of 18^th century era. It was a return of diaphanous dresses . So I have to applaud his show.
